
Kari Edmond, MSN, FNP‑C (she/her), Atlanta, GA
Kari Edmond is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner from Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of West Georgia and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005. RN specialties included cardiac telemetry, Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Rehabilitation, and Case Management. Kari then obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from Brenau University in 2022. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. It has been her desire to provide care to underserved communities. Kari chose OSH because she believed in our mission and vision.

Sarah Knafo, MSN, FNP-BC (she/her), Atlanta, GA
Sarah is a South Florida native that is excited to begin her career in Atlanta. She is a board-certified family Nurse Practitioner and completed her first degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Nova Southeastern University and worked in genetics research during that time. She continued her education at Emory University and found a passion for working with older adults and working as a home-health nurse while studying to become an FNP. Sarah is eager to begin her career as an APP with OSH so she can provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care to those in need.

Larisa Chernishuk, MSN, NP, FNP-BC, FNP‑C (she/her), Detroit, MI
Larisa has been a registered nurse for almost nine years and has worked primarily as an acute care RN on a cardiovascular/telemetry unit at a large hospital in Detroit. She attended the University of Michigan for her MSN. She chose Oak Street Health NP Fellowship Program because of the company’s values and its commitment to providing exceptional holistic care to the underserved population. Larisa speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and French.

Sharon Varano, MSN, NP, AGPCNP (she/her), Detroit, MI
Sharon has a professional background as an RN in-patient medical/surgical telemetry unit, and outpatient nephrology and hemodialysis. She completed her BSN at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI, and completed an MSN at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. Sharon chose OSH because she has a passion for adult and gerontological primary care. She feels the fellowship program is an excellent opportunity for new NPs to gain confidence, additional learning opportunities, and skill-building opportunities to further increase one’s competency in their new role.

Quanza Elise Mooring, Ph.D., FNP-BC, RN, CNE (she/her), Houston, TX
Having been in nursing education since 2010, Dr. Quanza Mooring has worked in hospital clinical education, as well as both the community college and university setting. She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where she obtained a BA in Exercise and Sport Science and minored in Spanish. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Carolina Central University and went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing, with a concentration in nursing education from East Carolina University. She earned her Ph.D. in Education, with a focus on nursing education from Capella University after completing her dissertation entitled: Aggressive Academic Advising Practices: Improving Nursing Student Persistence. Most recently, she completed her Master’s degree as FNP from Houston Christian University.

Latisha Clark, DNP, APRN, FNP (she/her), Houston, TX
Latisha is a board-certified FNP. She graduated from Rush University College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as an Acute Care Float Pool RN for several years; thereafter, transitioned to travel nursing. Latisha loves to participate in Global Health Mission Trips for Primary Care in underserved communities. She chose the OSH NP Fellowship in Adult Primary Care because of its commitment to providing quality and equitable health care for all. OSH has been known for delivering exceptional care with impactful and proven patient health outcomes.

Julia Barbosa, DNP, APRN, FNP‑C (she/her), New York, NY
Julia worked as an RN in a dermatology and plastic surgery practice in New York City. Previously, she served in the US Army as a Combat Medic and was assigned to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where she provided care to wounded warriors, service members, and their families. Julia completed her nursing degree at the Federal University of Goiás in Brazil, and her DNP and FNP at the Columbia University School of Nursing. Julia chose the OSH NP Fellowship in Adult Primary Care because Oak Street’s vision for healthcare aligns with her own belief that everyone deserves quality healthcare.

Davasha Nuur, MSN, APRN, AGNP (she/hers), New York, NY
Davasha has been an RN for nine years working with different populations across various healthcare settings. She enjoys building rapport with her patients and making sure they felt supported during their time of need. Davasha graduated from CUNY Hunter College as an AGNP. She chose the OSH NP Fellowship in Adult Primary Care because it will provide a supportive environment where she can grow to become a well-rounded NP equipped to properly care for all patients.

Samuel Altidor, FNP, High Point
Samuel is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. He completed a bachelor of nursing science at Florida International University in July of 2017. He has enjoyed five fulfilling years at the bedside as a certified critical care nurse in various specialties, including cardiovascular and surgical intensive care nursing. He completed a master of science in nursing in July of 2021 and is currently finishing a doctorate of nursing practice at Florida International University. He is a nine-year United States Army veteran. He served as a combat medic in Iraq, where he earned a combat medical badge for providing point-of-injury care under fire. Samuel speaks Spanish, French and Haitian Creole.

Isia Atkinson, FNP, Charlotte
Isia Atkinson is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has extensive experience as a RN and traveled to various states as a travel nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, she graduated from Simmons University in Boston and is excited to jump start her career as an Advanced Practice Provider with OSH. With the help of OSH, Isia will proudly provide high quality, patient centered and affordable primary care to those in need. She looks forward to getting to know her patients and providing the care they deserve. Isia chose OSH because of the emphasis we place on patient satisfaction and the value based care model. In addition to excellent patient care, Isia appreciates that Oak Street offers a supportive learning environment for their providers.

Darrell Tuck, AGNP, Fort Worth
Darrell has been a RN since 2016 and this career path has truly blossomed his love for adult-geriatric care. In 2019, Darell began his Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He learned about Oak Street Health’s new NP fellowship, and after reading about OSH’s values and realizing they parallel his own personal values, he knew it was the place for him.

Carline Uwajeh, AGNP, Dallas
A doctorally-prepared Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from Chicago, Illinois. Carline is new to Texas and excited to begin her NP career with OSH. Carline completed her clinical rotations at Oak Street Avalon Park and is honored to join the amazing network of providers in Texas. She chose OSH due to the positive impact that patients have reported from being truly considered and cared for by the providers at OSH, and looks forward to creating more positive encounters. Carline speaks Haitian Creole.

Marjorie Remy, FNP, Chicago
Marjorie attended the University of Illinois Chicago and obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration. During this time, she worked as a trauma intensive care nurse in her community hospital. Her goal as a nurse and now as a NP is to always strive for the best possible outcomes for her patients. Marjorie chose OSH because of their commitment to underserved communities and innovative ideas for healthcare that prove to be successful for patient care. Oak Street’s outcomes align with her goals as a provider. Marjorie speaks Haitian Creole.

Hedy Siedarta, AGNP, Philadelphia
Hedy provided direct patient care to the underserved and underinsured community as a registered nurse as well as an Indonesian interpreter at a local South Philadelphia health clinic. Her passion to care for this population propelled her to attain a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Hedy was attracted to OSH Fellowship because of the mentorship and ongoing support it will offer while delivering innovative comprehensive care to the most needed populations. Hedy speaks Indonesian.

Monika DeTurk, FNP, Philadelphia
Monika is a New Hampshire native who fell in love with Philadelphia during her undergraduate years at La Salle University. After spending time working as a nurse in Philadelphia, New York City and Boston, she has received a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Boston College, and is excited to return to Philadelphia as an FNP. It was important to Monika to join a value-based care organization that has an interdisciplinary team. She was very excited to learn about OSH and she looks forward to being an OSH nurse practitioner fellow.
