Well I was very impressed with her when I first met her. She seemed very knowledgeable and knew all the right tests and things to order and for some one that was in the medical field for over 40 years that is impressive. So I switched from my regular doctor to Oak Street Health. But now I’m not so…

Well I was very impressed with her when I first met her. She seemed very knowledgeable and knew all the right tests and things to order and for some one that was in the medical field for over 40 years that is impressive. So I switched from my regular doctor to Oak Street Health. But now I’m not so impressed! My daughter called last week to get my Monolukast and my Tramadol refilled. Wonder my surprise when my pharmacy said they didn’t have any prescriptions from her. So when I got home I checked my Kroger’s app. She called it to the pharmacy down in Brownstown! And didn’t call the script in for the Tramadol. So when I called on Tuesday to find out why I didn’t get a phone call until today. The nurse said that doctor said we didn’t discuss Tramadol in our last appointment so she wouldn’t order it but there might be some alternatives and the nurse said she would call me back. Well without calling me back they ordered me tizanidine 4mg (which I’ve been on for years) so then I looked at my notes that the doctor gave me and it says right in there that we discussed Tramadol! So I had to call them back and tell yes indeed we did discuss Tramadol and I would like my Tramadol ordered that I’ve been on for years. Well they took the message and said I would have to wait for them to call me back. Again they didn’t call me back they ordered me Motrin or ibuprofen which again if they would have read my chart they would have found that I was already on that one as well (have been on that one for years as well). So then I had to call again to let them know they called the Montlukast to the wrong pharmacy and that I’m already on Motrin or Ibuprofen and then wait for them to call me back. This time they did call me back and proceeded to argue with me that they were pretty sure they called it to Kroger’s on Cedar Street(I had to call Cedar Street and have them transfer it) and then I proceeded to tell them that I wasn’t going to fill the tizanidine or the Motrin because I was already on them and have been on them for years. Told them I wanted what my Tramadol refilled. She ordered Gabapentin which I have already been on. It does strange things to my body so the doctor took me off it and put me on Tramadol 50 BID. So then I had to call back again! I just letting you know I’m not at all pleased with with Oak Street or Dr. Barry right now. I’m looking for a new doctor thank you

Oak Street Health is the best option in caring for the elderly. I am glad they are now also in Lansing MI. For years I was (well) cared for by providers at the Hazel Park, MI.
