Tonya Thomas, NP

I met my new physician today at Oak Street Health in Raleigh, NC. I am completely impressed by Tonya. She is amazingly thorough, invites dialogue when going over your medical history and current needs and she pays incredible attention when you speak. Even with the vast quantity of information she goes over during your visit with her, she has perfect recall. At the end of my appointment she remembered exactly what she needed to do to really get the ball rolling as her new patient. I did not have to remind her of anything we discussed. She invites you taking an active role in your medical care. She is very relaxed and does not make you feel rushed. Quite the opposite. She takes the time she needs to go over everything and likes to see her new patients back in one month vs one year like so many other healthcare providers. The entire staff at Oak Street Health were courteous, personable, helpful and pleasant. At my age and my health, I have always seen multiple Drs…. I can tell you from that experience Tonya is a gem to be appreciated. You’ll know she cares and will take an active role in maintaining the best health possible for you. Tonya is what everyone is looking for as their medical provider. I simply cannot recommend her highly enough!!
