Press Releases

June Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds is on Wednesday, June 13th.

Chicagoland & Detroit teamswill be at the J.W. Marriott hotel at 151 West Adams Street in Chicago. For parking we strongly encourage those who can to use public transportation, as parking in the loop is limited/cumbersome.

Indianapolis teamswill be at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis-Airport at 2501 South High School Road in Indianapolis. Crowne Plaza has a large parking lot for our use, but you can also carpool if possible.

Also, for the first time, we are proud to have two speakers presenting. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Freny Mody, Director of the Heart Failure & Preventive Cardiology Program at U.C.L.A. School of Medicine and V.A. Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Dr. Mody will be speaking on the topic of heart failure, with remarks on the criticality of screening/diagnosis of early stage disease and how to manage the condition in the primary care setting.

Our second speaker is Dr. Michael Wolf, Associate Vice Chair for Research and Professor of Medicine & Learning Sciences at Northwestern University. Dr. Wolf’s work focuses on the study of cognitive, psychosocial, and health system factors that affect a person’s ability to successfully manage health as well as health literacy. (Note: Due to the time difference, Dr. Wolf’s talk will be optional for the Indianapolis team but will be available on the live stream.)

We are looking forward to seeing you there. Thanks for all you do for our patients and our teams.
