Oak Street Health Recognized by the American Medical Association for Promoting Well-Being of Healthcare Providers

Company Honored as 2024 Joy in Medicine™ Health System Recognition Program Recipient

CHICAGO — October 15, 2024 — Oak Street Health, a network of value-based primary care centers for older adults and part of CVS Health, today announced that it has earned recognition from the American Medical Association (AMA) as a Joy in Medicine™ health organization. 

The prestigious AMA distinction honors health organizations that meet the rigorous criteria of the Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition Program and acknowledges the nation’s leaders in prioritizing proven efforts to enhance the well-being and professional fulfillment of providers.

Oak Street Health was among 62 health systems nationwide honored through the program, where candidates were evaluated based on demonstrated competencies in commitment, assessment, leadership, efficiency of practice environment, teamwork, and support.
