
Dr. Shamard Charles, MD-MPH
Shamard Charles, MD-MPH, is a public health doctor with nearly tens of years of experience in health promotion and health communications. A graduate of both New York University and the City College of New York, Dr. Charles furthered his education with postgraduate degrees from Brown University’s Warren Alpert School of Medicine (MD) and Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health (MPH). He juggles multiple roles, including hosting The Revolutions Within Us Podcast, writing for The Grio, and serving as a video correspondent for Health.com. Currently, Dr. Charles leads the Master’s in Public Health program at St. Francis College as the executive director. Additionally, he consults and serves on the medical review board for DotDash Meredith. Previously, he operated as senior health journalist for NBC News, leading the network’s health and medical coverage.
