Oak Street Health Opens Applications for September 2026 Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program

Accredited postgraduate program prepares the next generation of value-based care clinicians

CHICAGO, IL — June 12, 2026 — Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health® (NYSE: CVS), today announced that applications are now open for the September 2026 cohort of its New Graduate Nurse Practitioner (NP) Fellowship Program. The nationally recognized program, which recently received accreditation by the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers, is designed to equip new nurse practitioners with the skills, confidence and experience necessary to deliver high-quality, value-based primary care to older adults.

The 12-month, paid fellowship provides a comprehensive, hands-on training experience that builds on graduate education through mentorship, clinical practice and advanced didactic learning. Fellows develop their own patient panels, work alongside experienced preceptors and gain expertise in areas such as value-based care and chronic disease management.

Oak Street Health is currently recruiting fellows for centers located in: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, with more locations expected to be added. Eligible applicants must have completed a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program between December 2024 and May 2026.

Oak Street Health’s mission to rebuild health care as it should be starts with investing in exceptional clinicians,” said Marisa Rogers, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer at Oak Street Health. Our New Graduate NP Fellowship Program is a critical pathway for new graduates to grow into confident, compassionate providers who can thrive in a value-based care environment.”

The Fellowship Program earned a three-year accreditation from the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers in 2025, recognizing its rigorous curriculum and commitment to preparing clinicians to meet the complex needs of aging populations. The accreditation reinforces the program’s role in advancing high-quality postgraduate training for nurse practitioners.

Since launching in 2022, the program has expanded significantly, training fellows across multiple states and supporting the development of a strong pipeline of clinicians dedicated to delivering preventive, patient-centered care to Medicare-eligible adults.
